Derbyshire Area
The group is part of the Derbyshire Area of the Ramblers' Association.
The Derbyshire Area consists of a number of groups
- Amber Valley
- Erewash
- Derby & South Derbyshire
- Derbyshire Dales
- Derbyshire family Rambling
as well as a number of affiliated organisations.
The Area is run by a committee that meets a few times a year. It has representatives from each of the these groups and holds an AGM (Annual General Meeting) at the beginning of each year.
Derby & South Derbyshire Group
We have over 500 members in the group and run walks during the week and at weekends. The group is run by a committee that is elected at the yearly AGM. In addition members of the group act as walks leaders. The walks programme is published twice a year. In addition we work on keeping the footpath system open.
Committee
The committee meets four or five times a year, and holds an AGM in the autumn. The posts on the committee are as follows:-
